提到英国的Ritchie Blackmore，就意味着得再次翻看Deep Purple（深紫）与Rainbow（彩虹）的历史。1968年Blackmore和朋友一起组建了深紫，在此期间奠定了其无人替代的新古典（前卫）吉它大师地位，1975年离队组建彩虹，1993年更名为Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow，1997年和他的妻子Candice Night组成的一个夫妻音乐组合，虽然他们的年龄相差了26岁，可是音乐确丝毫不影响这些。
